General Information for Classes

All classes are held in the studio situated upstairs above the shop. Tea and Coffee are available at the beginning of each class, there are no facilities for lunch however there are a number of café/coffee shops in Carshalton Village (all within 5 minutes of the shop). There is a car park within 200 yards or you can park in the surrounding streets. Please note parking in the bays on the High Street is restricted to 20 minutes (and enforced with fines!).

Signing In

On arrival please ensure you sign in at the counter before the class begins. It is necessary to sign in again for afternoon classes, please do not assume that we will know you are there all day. Signing in for each session is a Health and Safety requirement.

Payment for classes

Classes must be paid for at the time of booking. Cheques should be made payable to Carshalton Craft and sent with a booking form to 30 Beacon Grove, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 3BA. We also accept Visa, Switch and Mastercard for classes booked in person or over the phone. If you require confirmation of a postal booking please ensure you enclose an SAE. Unless we contact you, you should assume that you have been allocated a place on any course you have booked.

Cancellations

Cancellations made at least three days prior to a course will be refunded. Unfortunately we are unable to refund any cancellations after this time. If we have to cancel a class, you will receive a credit that can be used for a future booking or spent in the shop.
While we will try to avoid cancelling classes, if there are insufficient numbers, or in the case of tutor unavailability and we are unable to find another tutor, we reserve the right to cancel classes (this will be in exceptionable circumstances only).

Class content

While we try to ensure that the class advertised is delivered, it may sometimes be necessary to change the content or materials used due to availability of the materials.

Class participation

In order for everyone to gain maximum benefit from each class we would ask you to switch off mobile phones at the beginning of the class. If you need to be contacted please give the shop number - 020 8669 5000 - messages will be taken for you.
Also to be fair to everyone in the class and to gain maximum benefit, please adhere to the project relevant to the class.

And finally . . . . .

Although it is necessary to have these rules, we want you to enjoy your time here and to leave with some great ideas (and hopefully a little less stressed too!). We also welcome your comments (both good and bad) and suggestions for any classes you would like to see in the future.
